I score in Musescore 4, save in musicxml format, import to BiaB, choose style and refine, export MIDI ... that is my workflow. I now have a 4/4 song I am working with that needs to have occasional 2/4 bar. I score it in Musescore and export musicxml (and can reopen it, and the 2/4 bars are preserved), but when I open the musicxml file in BiaB, the 2/4 bars are 4/4, and the 2nd half of what should be the 2 beat bar is the first half of what should be the following 4/4 bar. If I change one of these bars to 2/4, instead beats 3 and 4 being pushed into the next bar, beats 3 and 4 are instead grayed out and played over. I get my 2/4 bar, but lose 2 beats of music. 2/4 bars in a 4/4 song are sufficiently common that there is bound to be a simple and effective process to handle this in BiaB, but I can't see it. Can anyone open my eyes to it?

I figure I can go back into Musescore and make all bars 4/4, and leave rests in beats 3 and 4 of the bars I want to be 2/4, then change them to 2/4 in BiaB, but that solution is so ugly I don't want to go there. I'd rather know the right way to do it. Thanks folks.
