When I change the RealDrums and regenerate the previous RealDrum track is still playing. The track is not frozen. I changed from the RealDrums that came in with the style and changed it to Congas. Now when I change it back to any other RealDrum patch it still plays the Congas. Any idea what's causing this?
Thanks,
Dom

It could be that and audio file of the previous version of the song (with the conga drums) has been saved. When BIAB opens, it will automatically open any saved render of that song. Have a look in the folder where the songfile resides and see if there is another there with exactly the same name but either a WAV or MP3 extension. If there is, delete it. Also, if an audio file is present, it should load into the Audio track on the mixer and you would be able to see the VUs working when the song is played.

Thanks! There is nothing else in the folder. What I have discovered is that I loaded a different style and got a message that some RealTracks have been removed and that if I want them back to Undo load style, or something to that effect. Evidently it was a midi track loaded for the Drums in that style. When I did Undo that's when the Congas were once again stuck. I ended up copying all the chords into a new project, avoiding the style that caused the issue and now I can bring different drums into the project like normal.

That's good work fixing the problem.

I think what you described happens on occasion to others, but I've never seen a good description of what to do. I think there is a way to clear out a style with some MIDI and get rid of the remnants that affect a new choice of RealDrum, without having to reconstruct the song, but I'm not sure. Could you give us your exact steps again in detail please?

Could you also let us know what style you were using that caused the issue?

Initial Style was _BRICKRM.STY - Brick Room SW8 Songwriter Blues
When I loaded Style - _GREENRM - Green Room Songwriter Blues Solo I got a message in the yellow box at the bottom right of the window. The window went away pretty quickly so I don't know everything it said but it eluded to the fact that some RealDrum Tracks were removed from the style and if I wanted them back to Edit Undo them. The Edit menu showed the following:
Undo Remove Song RealTracks, RealDrums, UserTracks, Loops

I have figured out that if I Undo it, that's what created the issue of not being able to change the drums again after that. But this morning I didn't Undo it and then I was able to change drums with no issues. Yesterday when I got in the loop of not being able to change them I simply copied all the chord structure to the clip board and created a new file and loaded the _BRICKRM.STY style and changed the drums and life was good.

Hope that explains it well enough.

Thanks, that helps immensely! I've figured out that this happens to be a bug related to styles that use MultiDrums, which _GREENRM.STY does. It's in our bug tracker under tracking number 3175. For now, simply use _BRICKRM.STY as it does not use MultiDrums.
