The "Not with a bang but with a wimper " final tour continues. grin

Ya, you may recognize this is the screen of my current project which Noel helped with the MidiMap. I opened my wonderful 106 bar arrangement this morning and it now contains 255 bars of chords with the additional chords all grayed out!

I am almost afraid to ask...

Do I just delete these newly present bars?

Dan,
I always try to save multiple copies of the project if things go to undesired direction.... Try saving a copy and just deleting "extra" bars. Perhaps intentionally or not, song got copied after the ending bar(s).

Dan,

Without seeing the full chordsheet, it looks like Repeats/Endings might be involved because there are greyed out chords in the bars from 110 onward.

Try right-clicking on the chordsheet, selecting Repeats/Codas/1st-2nd Endings and then select "Edit List". You'll soon see if I'm right or not.

Wonderful, OK so I deleted them and now this is what I have. My OCD will never let me look at this file with all its discrepancies.
Enjoy the final tour!

Looking at the end of the greyed out bars, the last few are the same as the same last few of the non-greyed part, so I also think the body of the song has been copied somehow. That the chords end on bar 197 suggests you have an intro that wasn't copied, so I suspect somehow this is a number of choruses issue.

Beyond that I concur with Misha ... keep a safe copy, delece the 'spares' and see if it sounds OK. I hope it does, because I've had some odd behaviours when I've had repeats like that, where sometimes recovery seems harder than starting over.

I've just seen Noel's post ... hopefully that helps. It concurs somewhat with my thoughts about number of choruses, but gives a possibly more helpful way forward.

You guys aren't suggesting that I don't know what I am doing? tired

I have backups and I never touched the number of choruses. But I don't back up the file every time I open it and edit. Do you?? confused I will lose work on this file if I have to go to a back up. mad

Sorry, guys - don't mean to take my frustration out on you.
