I have been posting a lot about this but once I discovered the drum stems It's a complete game changer for me! Just wanting to get as many as possible!!
My Question though is this you can see from the attached It says Stems Available 104 but when I change the filter to found it shows 109. How can I have more than whats available? Or is that stems available that I don't have?

There're few sets but not nearly enough. Mind you I want mainly rock stuff - most of those are more Nashville even now. I've not bothered with some of the packs that contain stems because I'm not going to work with jazz or Latin stuff that's on me but the rock, folk, etc stuff is minimal leaving me to feel very disappointed: I upgraded each year in the hope of more but not much has come my way and some that I do have feature oddities like mono overheads! I'm also a sucker for buying video Real Tracks. I do videos for most of my BIAB assisted songs so hoped that I'd have stuff arriving on an ongoing basis but NOPE, the necessary widget to run the stuff isn't even commonly available these days. Overall a great program but with a few garden paths that end up in the weeds.

That seems to be a bug - I've reported it to the developers with id# 4818.

We always add more each year - I believe that all the new Realdrums ship with stems, however not all the old ones do. We have gone back to some of the older Realdrums to add stems, but some of those were recorded 15+ years ago, and the original recordings may have been discarded or lost since then.
Mono overheads are a stylistic choice when recording for certain genres - definitely a little odd by modern standards, but it can sometimes work better for older genres.

Thanks Simon, I acknowledged that new ones appear but, as mentioned, not in the styles I use...yet. Mono O/Hs in the same set of "stems" as stereo items is more than odd and makes mixing the stems in stereo VERY difficult which is contrary to the notion of the "stems" in the 1st place. The bigger oddity is that often the "mix" that accompanies the stems has the cymbals, as can only be captured by the Ohs and some spill, in stereo. I completely understand about older resources and how storage expense was a big issue just a decade ago. I'm ever hopeful re "stems" but have thrown in the towel on video tracks. Well, I use what I have but won't expect anything new.

Which Realdrum is this? I'll look into it - might be something we can correct.
Hello Simon, Thanks for the response. I found this almost a year later. The forum doesn't give notifications of responses etc. it seems.
Today's disaster was with PopRockShuffle:a:Snare, Closed hat etc, The overheads, room & toms are stereo in the premix but mono in the stems. I checked in the BB/Drums/PopShuffle etc. folder and the WMA files there for room & o/heads play back, from inside the folder using WMP or Groove Tune, as stereo.
Stylistic decisions are important as is the opportunity to make them. If the files are stereo in the folder and in the "mix" file generated as well then someone has made a stylistic decision or programming error that renders them mono as a stem. DON'T get me started on the hideous ringing of the snare top stem in that set either. Now that, I know, is a stylistic decision but one which can be avoided by using the snare bottom instead..hence the absolutely amazing potential of stems. Bon Chance ray
