Hans, I don't need to understand the lyrics to know if a song is good or not and this song is very good.
Great vocal, harmonies, and arrangement.
Nice violin and mix.
This is a great song.

Hans,

Well, I figured out the title. But after that, I didn't understand a word. But in any language, your music would be terrific. As David Cunty mentionned, in so many words, the song was written for the Dutch language, thus that it should be sung.

What a wonderful photo! Di says you were good-looking even as a baby, and it's still true!

Great song - great production - great listen.

Alan

Absolutely fantastic. Great mix, really strong vocal - though I don't understand dutch. So glad you included the English translation - this is a great song in both music and words. Great feeling in both. Loved that photograph! Couldn't be better, it's a hit in any language!

Hi Janice and Bud,

Yeah, that photo....
I loved it too. But my brother was on it too, but I cut that.
It was taken in Curaçao, an island in the Caraïben.
Some years after this photo, my parents divorced.
And he died early. I think I was the only one who loved him (in a way).

But enough of that story. Thanks you liked it and sorry I am responding sooo late.
I am building a huge shet in my garden. Takes all my time...

I hope Janice isn't the only one dreaming of her parents. Maybe you have a thought about them (or one) too.
Hans

Second, the song sounds great both vocally and instrumentally.
The violin and violas are perfect for the mood.
We enjoyed hearing you sing in your language and appreciated the translation.

Janice often dreams of her Mama and her Daddy and always feels happy upon awakening from those dreams.

A wonderful tribute and all around production!

J&B

Hi Jona, Scott, Floyd, Mario, Al and Brad,

Thanks a lot for listening to this Dutch song. That must have been a challenge!
And I'm very sorry for replying so late to all of you. I'm building some kind of shet or cabin in my garden, and that takes a lot of time. It's still not ready.
The weather is getting more nasty, so I have some time now to react to your posts. I hope you were not too impatient...

Hi Jona, thanks for listening! Have you tried to figure out some Dutch words?

Hi Scott, yes I noticed you already heard it. And now again! Thankls for your compliments. I didn't make a video from my song, and don't thnk I will do it later. No inspiration.
I noticed Spirit Level also made a new song. Haven't heard it jet, but must be beautiful, because all your songs are.
Give my best wishes to Robert.

Hello Floyd, Those violins were not in the first version. I had a pan flute in it. But then I thought a violin is better, and a while later, well, maybe 2.
That's the organic way this song was build. I bet you must have the same experience in composing a song.
I also used my keyboard in the mix, so it isn't entirely 'making use of BiaB'. But BiaB is great, you're right about that!
And thank you for your compliments about the song itself.

Hello Mario, what a charming opening line for your post! So is your sequel. I'm flattered by it.
Thank you a lot!

Hi Alan, I hope you saw my translation of that Dutch lyrics too! But beside that, it's lovely to read the next line too! And tell Di I think she is right. I didn't noticed it for a long time. However, over the years, I noticed that girls showed interest in me, which boosted my self-confidence ;-)
Give my love to Di! Isd she doing better now?

Hi Brad, As I wrote to the others; sorry I replied so late. And what a nice post you gave me! I was very happy to read it. It is a challenge to listen to it when you don't understand Dutch at all. And even with the translation it s difficult to 'feel' the emotion
of this Dutch song. But you did! And that is the nicest part. Thanks for that!!!
