I have made some minor updates to my PT and RB tutorials. Unfortunately they are basic tutorials and I have not updated them to the new features in PT and RB. However, many folks have found them useful.
I would hope that if anyone else wants to take what I've done and bring it up-to-date and current with the new software features, that they would do so. I'm not able to re-do these tutorials and bring them totally up-to-date, but I would NOT be offended if someone else decided they would help out in this area and update them and post them so that they are available to anyone who needs them.
I have received countless emails of PG Music users telling me how much they've been helped by them. That has been good to hear, but I bet lots of folks wish these tutorials and PDF files would be updated.
Anyone wishing to take on such a project would certainly have my blessings!!!!!
The link is shown below in my signature line. Thanks everyone!!

Hi Ray, how ya been?
Over the years, quite a few have asked me if I'd ut together some tutorial info like you've done there, or write a book ( "Band in a Box for Dummies" was actually once suggested - I think some company out there owns that situation) and I've always bowed out of it for just the situation you have encountered.
By the time a really comprehensive publishing can be put together for version D of a pgmusic product, pgmusic has released version E - and the work you've done is now obsolete!
In my opinion, that little problem would make any such endeavor quite impossible to maintain and at the same time allow any author of such to be able to do anything else!

The best tutorial would probably be: 1. Register your product 2. Read the manual 3. Watch the videos 4. Use the software for a month 5. Call PG Music for support 6. Use the forums to introduce yourself and explain what a wonderful software product you've found OR get your money back. 7. Post songs of success. 8. Write about your medical issues but have fun anways.
Of course the above is utopia.
Reality: 1. Buy a 3 year old version of the software for 2.99 somewhere or get it free via one of those services that lets you download anything free. 2. Come on the forum; call yourself Cotton Eyed Joe from Nowhere Land and diss the software, the artists, the company and extol your musical knowledge by explaining the concepts of counterpoint in Rap music of early 2008 and ask where the loops are. 3. After getting an answer to your problem over 12 posts don't come back.
HMMM.......mm
Keep pluggin' Ray, someday...over the ..never mind. If ya love doing it, do it more...that's my main motto.

You're to be commended Ray for your fortitude. You're offering newcomers a firm base to start from. Definitely rewrite, rewrite, rewrite is no way to live and is a full-time job, let alone a volunteer undertaking. Even PG has a challenge keeping up with their own changes in the "help/how to" arena (Canuck imagery).
Good on you Ray

thanks, guys!
Someone has suggested that the EXE files (executables) be converted to flash video files... I'm looking into that possibility now... as some folks are uncomfortable with downloading zipped files and then running the EXE files contained in those ZIP files.
Mac, I am doing well. I feel better now than i've felt in over a year. I'm not well, but the medicines give me a feeling of i'm doing better........ so I applaud the doctors, pharmacists and scientists that can make my life and comfort better.

Yes, this is a huge undertaking. However, at a basic level, those BIAB video tutorials still have some value. I've been hoping that PG music would organize them into an outline file on a disk. I would pay to have an organized disk where you could search by types of tutorials, i.e. "Styles", Midi, Audio, etc.. That stuff already exists but needs to be organized into one place. IMHO

Tutorials have been updated once again and are now AVI video files... not executables (EXE files)
These should run fine in Windows Media Player or some other brand of media player, your choice.
ENJOY!!
