Definitely a thing of beauty, definitely labor intensive...but could I hear any difference from my old platter spinner even with these new fangled hearing aids? I thought so!
But very interesting, gotta admire the dedication and expertise. Glad we still have such craftsmen.

Hmm ... one has to wonder why he didn't cut the large access cutout for the tone arm when he routed the turntable cutouts. And for mass why not internal lead slugs embedded in a flexible mastic.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.

Yes, those are £13000 questions In fairness to him, I imagine the bit he's doing is a fairly small percentage of the whole. In this particular case there was 11.5k of arm and cartridge (too silly!) and the cost of the turntable itself. Yes, out of my "I'd pay that" range, for sure. I could get a whole new set of sails for Galatea and an Event M for that!
