I think Audacity does not use ASIO drivers. It shoyuld default to the WDM windows drivvers. The meters inside Audacity will tell you if a signal is getting to the program or not. The lefthand side meters. There is also a critical Volume Control for R3ecording in Audacity, the slider with the little mic icon. If that's turned all the way down, no recording can happen as well.

Line Input should be recognized, sorry I don't have your OS for a more detailed description or step by step.


S/PDIF should only be used with a *digital* signal.

1/2 in should be the ones for the Line Input, though.

When you can't get a card to record with program A, try another recording program of any kind, if for no other reason than to rule the soundcard out as being okay for work.
