Without knowing more about your system and what you've done to get Fedora working, I think the adage "don't do anything until you know exactly what to do" may be very appropriate. With that warning in mind, I just checked the latest version of Puppy Linux (version 5 which boots and runs from a cd) and discovered it has an "import data" in its email client. It may or may not be the solution to your problem, so proceed with care.
