I am looking at using some loops in my songs but I'm not too sure about how BiaB handles third party loops.
The manual tells me that if I put my loops in the bb\RealTracks\Loops folder. Looking in this folder I see a number of folders, each holding loops that are visible on the Loops utility. I have added several folders of ACID loops to this folder but these are not yet visible to select from. I wondered if it takes some time for BiaB to recognize thesae new files or there was some way of rebuilding the list, jut like the styles.

Thank you. It did take some time though. Great. I've actually never used this function, but I would have expected it to be completed quickly. How long did it take?

Additionally, I am not sure how to select the Loops folder or Refresh option from the Loops tab in the MultiPicker Library.

Actually, I am incorrect here. I have tried a new sub folder in the loops folder and there is no way that it is updating the list. There is no facility for rebuild/refresh.

Interesting. For me it was basically instant - clicking the refresh button showed my new loops. How many loops are you adding, and what format are the files? If they're all WAV files, are they PCM or a different format? What sample rate and bit depth?

When I originally posted this problem I was accessing the Loops feature via the Select a Loop for this track' option on the track interface. I did see one of the folders after about 15 minutes. On subsequent inspection of the loops list I discovered that the folder was no longer there. I know this is very odd, but that is the case.
Anyway, your reply mentioned a 'Refresh' button, but there is no refesh button available when the loops feature is accessed via the Track Selection menu. When I used the Loops button on the Tak menu, BB crashed.
I took all the new loops out of the Loops folder and I did manage to select Loops from the Task menu after one crash. When I look at this menu I can see a set of much more powerful flexibility features, including your Refresh button.
When I go back to the Select a Loop for Track menu,, the new new loops have stilll not appeared. Looks like a differnt process hapening underneath.
Apart from this problem, I find that Loop the menus in BiaB are inconsistent with each other. If I go from Select a Loop, Loops or Multipicker, I am expecting to see all the same things, but this isn't happening. Chord Builder is the same.
I can get this feature to work now, but it's not impressive.

I don't really know why some functionality is missing. Neither do I, however I've reported it to the developers with id# 4936.
