How do you remember your favorite styles? How do you remember your favorite styles? I find it's not very convenient to mark them as favorites in the BIAB list, because it's not easy to find them when there are too many. Do you create a new User Categories? To be honest, I also find it inconvenient. Do you have your own way? Let's discuss it?

I rely almost exclusively on styles, and so look forward to each year's new style offerings. But once I use a style I don't intentionally reuse it. I like to tell myself that this keeps my songs fresh sounding, but that could be self delusion. I'm good at that.
Sorry to not have an answer to your question. My use of BiaB has just never taken me there.
I'll be looking forward to reading the answers though!

This brings up a good point. I would like to see PGM add a star rating on every style, much like a lot of companies do with patches. You highlight the star you want as a rating with clicking on the 5th star (that would be 1-5 stars) would be the highest rating. I would even go for adding one star that I could click on for a favorite. YMMV

A favorite style for one song might not be a favorite for the next. Even if the songs are in the same genre and tempo.
Conversely, a style that is definitely not a favorite might be a perfect fit for another song.
Often, finding the right style for the song takes more time than entering the song itself.
Does that mean we have too many styles? DEFINITELY NOT.
I, too, look forward to new styles. To me, the price of searching for the perfect style is paid off in full when I find the style that is just right for a particular song.
I would welcome anything that makes that search easier, but I have no suggestions about how that might be done.

I, personally, don't intentionally try to reuse the same styles multiple times. If I happen to reuse the same style, it's because it fit the best to the song as I was hearing it in my head.
That said..... in the style picker dropdown, I think there;s a "recently used styles" and I want to say I think there's a "favorite styles" as well. I'd have to go look to be sure.

We use styles only to audition the feel that we have for a new write after which we swap out most if not all of the tracks for some of our favs. To find a style we might have used I just search on the genre and find it rather quickly. Having blathered that I'll mention that since 90% of our productions are blues we are not exactly overwhelmed with the number of styles. Or with tracks But we have been and remained quite pleased with what is available. Bud
Our albums and singles are on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Pandora and more. If interested search on Janice Merritt. Thanks! Our Videos

I ended up making a custom folder for my top styles. It took a bit to set up, but it’s a game changer when I’m in a hurry.

I ended up making a custom folder for my top styles. I keep a spreadsheet. Although I could do it in Excel, GoogleDocs allows me to upload a file into each record. So does FileMaker which I've had since 1986 but I'm used to GoogleDocs for this nowadays.
