Hi Folks.
Here is my latest song. I've asked David to record guitar intro and solo, which he gracefully agreed to.
I guess this tune is my reaction of current turbulent times. Critical comments are always welcomed. Thank you for giving this a spin.

Dawn

Lyrics:

This river was tainted, deep down to its soul.
This river been tainted, dark waters moving so slow...
Dreams we once held, now fading away,
This river was tainted.

Waiting for a sunny day, searching for a "better way",
Running through this endless maze.
Shrugging off twisted lies, trying to stay alive. Staying alive.
Learn to let go, sit back - enjoy show, you are not alone.
When the stars align, you will see the sign - the dawn of our time.

Careful what you wish for, putting crown on a clown.
Careful what you wish for - it might come around.
Tap you on a shoulder - like a loyal soldier,
Careful what you wish for.

Chorus

Super tune and uber cool stereo soundscape. Love your vocals/harmonies and Dave's guitar intro/fills/solo. Nice harmonica finish, too. There's a slinky pulsing rhythm to the backing track that neatly propels the song forward. Excellent composition, most excellently performed.

This is a brilliant mix and production. Your material reminds of someone or something else, but I can't put my finger on it. Dave's guitar work on this is superb.

Liked the intensity in this, and, of course, Dave's guitar work. Harmonies were cool. Usually your lyrics are cryptic, even poetic, but here you pretty much just laid it on the line. Which I liked. Nice, sparse, use of harmonica. Excellent track!

Hi, Misha.

This song has your signature sound with a mix of Dave's guitar. Very cool.

Interesting opening and some interesting sounds.

I had trouble hearing the word "tainted" - it sounds like you're saying it as a single syllable.

I enjoyed it!

Love it! Good lyrics. Good musical choices. Nice flow. David added a dynamite touch. Nice harmonica break. I like (the other) David's comment about "signature sound". You definitely have that. Keep 'em comin'!

Man, you had me at the title, Misha. Dave makes every day much better, and he added well to this fun song of your. As a musician, it's fun in its feel, but as one who cares about other musicians, it's concerning about our turbulent times. You did your usual outstanding job mixing in so much enjoyment that several listens are required. Dig that harmonica, and love that solo. I'd say bring the vocal up some.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Misha and Dave,

Glad you could play together on this song.
The song sounds very beautiful and threatening at the same time, But Misha, that is the characteristic of your songs!
Wonderful, I like that very much.
And Dave played it very well, even though it's not really his 'thing', or.. from now on it is ;-)

Misha:

Great stuff . . . I always enjoy your tunes for their creativity and production elements. No exception here. Good call on pulling Mr. Bell into the project . . . the lead guitar elements are slick and fit the tune to a tee. Excellent work; cool tune!!

Lovely Santanaesque work from Dave. The contrast comparison with the harmonica is cool too.
LOVE the high harmonies you added Misha.
COOL song of & for our times...
Excellent arrangement & mix.

More clever Misha musical invention! Excellent, excellent lyrics: "Careful what you wish for." Yup. Dave's expert guitar fits right into the flavor of the song.

The lyric is excellent and we couldn’t agree more with the message.
This part is hard to do though, isn’t it?
“Learn to let go, sit back - enjoy show, you are not alone. “
We recently subscribed to the Good News Network to help lift our spirits. 😊

Your vocals sound great and the rhumba beat keeps that hopeful feeling going.
The piano and bass are a great foundation for the beat.

Dave’s performances are the perfect addition with both solos and other neat bits.

Excellent mix — as always. smile

Great collaboration!

Tainted river, that's how it feels quite often in this endless maze. I wish the dawn will arrive with a ray of hope...or should I be careful what I wish for...

Great rhythmic bed, enjoyed the piano and the harmonica. Dave's pleasant signature playing lifts the song to another dimension and it is really easy to sit back and enjoy your show. I like the ethereal mix. Your vocal blends nicely with the rest of the instruments like a warming breeze.
