All other software I've used have a convenient Solo and Mute buttons at VST3 window, so you don't have to reach for the mixer. Please consider implementing this in BIAB.

I have Reaper, Digital Performer, Studio One, Pro Tools, Bitwig, FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic, and Garage Band - not a single one of them have Mute or Solo buttons on the VST window. What am I missing?

Well...
Cakewalk has it (had for many years), FL Studio has it's own settings, click "gear" on VST tab and you will some pretty cool controls...including Solo and others, such as scaling/DPI awareness.
Solo / Mute is a convenience item, not something completely new. I find it very useful when working with VST/VSTi that requires fast A/B audition between with & without main arrangement. When programming or changing values, so you don't poke mixer and then go back to VST UI, especially on dual screen setup.

Ah gotcha. I checked both. Cakewalk does have a Solo button but no Mute, however even after clicking the gear I can't find it in FL - there's an on/off button and a volume knob, but no mute or solo.
I ask because when we look into new features we look to see whether it's something already common in other software. In this case it does not seem common, being only one piece of software with that feature, but regardless I will add it as a feature request - id# 4986.

Simon, while there are many "safe" choices, what makes software special is unique features. BIAB is not shy on those  I have used Solo button at VST window in Cakewalk thousands of times and I found it super convenient. Of course if there is a real priority, I would rather have manual DPI awareness adjustment in BIAB VST3 window for individual instruments instead of Solo button, but that is a theme for another topic.

If we spend too much time on all the small unique features, we won't have time for the big stuff. Of course if there is a real priority, I would rather have manual DPI awareness adjustment in BIAB VST3 window for individual instruments instead of Solo button, but that is a theme for another topic. I definitely agree there!
