Herb, this is disappointing, I know, but it doesn't surprise me. Great sounding recordings have been produced by you and millions of others without the Slate package. Would those recordings have sounded BETTER with Slate? Seems doubtful...
That being said, this is one of the few negative reviews I've seen.
Have seen the "Essentials" $249 sale and been tempted, too. I'm not really giving it a "negative review", I'm mostly saying I didn't see where it was a big enough step up in quality to warrant having it
