Guys, I have a melody I'm using the Floyd Cramer harmonies with. How do I print out that melody (lead sheet) along with it's corresponding harmonies?

Try the "options" setting in the notation/print menu and see if there is a setting in there that may need to be check marked. You may have to "convert" the harmony parts to the melody track: melody/convert harmony at the top of Biab and that should hard write the notes to the melody notation. You should then be able to have the harmony notes on the melody printed notation.

I am sure that you can even print out the individual harmonies. I think I was able to do this once but I have forgotten how. If someone could remind me, I would be eternally grateful. Presently I have to copy the harmonies to the soloist and then delete the harmonies I don't need. It is much easier to drop a midi file into Sibelius or whatever because the harmony tracks are separated. Which makes me realise they must also be different tracks in BB. But how to print them? That is the question.

Can you please outline what steps have your followed so far to try and get this to happen? That would stop me typing a whole heap of information that is not relevant. Also, were you requiring that each line of harmony should be on its own staff or is writing the harmonies in "piano style" (as chords) ok?

161. How do I print harmony parts with Band-in-a-Box?
You first need to 'convert the harmony' to the Melody track (or Soloist track if you are using a Soloist/Thru harmony). This will write the harmony permanently to the track so that you can see the notation. To do this, you can go to the Harmony menu and select Convert harmony to .. Track. In Band-in-a-Box versions 12 and higher, there is a feature that allows you to display and print individual harmony parts. Here are the basic steps. After you have chosen the MIDI harmony you wish to use:
Open the Lead Sheet window and click the OPT button to open the Lead Sheet Options dialog.
Press the {Convert Harmony to Track} button.
Choose the harmony part you would like to view/print, from the 'Show Harmony Voice' pull-down menu.
Press the {Print} button in the Lead Sheet window to print out that part.
Band-in-a-Box 11 and earlier do not have the ability to print individual harmony voices separately, however one thing you could do would be to save your song as a MIDI file (making sure that 'MIDI File Harmony on Separate Tracks' is checked in the MIDI File Options dialog), then import the MIDI file into PowerTracks Pro Audio and print it each track separately from that program.

Great Noel! I tried transferring the harmonies with "convert harmonies to Melody track". Nothing happened. Then I tried to make a standard midi file and paste it into Cakewalk. Cakewalk acknowledged there were tracks with harmonies but no data had been written. Then I tried it with the clipboard. Still nothing. I can hear all the Floyd Cramer . . . . . but it won't be seen anywhere. Interesting, HUH?

Interesting Mac! I did just what was prescribed . . . . . . and the end dialogue said . . . "Track had 137 notes before harmony added . . . after harmony added, 137 notes"! This is one for the books . . . Huh? Thanks, Mac

Did you actually go and SELECT a specific harmony ?? Try playing it first ?? Maybe you had a bogus harmony with no parameters selected ?

Man O man! Yep! I chose the harmony and when I "write" it the melody channel . . . . . it doesn't show up! 137 notes before, 137 notes after. And yet, I can hear the harmonies beautifully.
