The vocals, somewhat resembling John Lennon's, sing a wonderful melody.
The folk-rock style melody is truly great.
The video also matches the song perfectly.

What a beautiful and contemplative song, "All things of value have no defense/They vanish unless your heart prevents" I enjoyed the deep thinking in those words.
Great band, I like the comfort of the baritone guitar and how the synth adds heavenly feel.
Great vocals, calm and emotional. And those oohs and aahs add warm spirit.
The video is thoughtful and touching.

A sweet & contemplative melody as well as super detail arrangement Hans. Extra points for using evanescent in a song & correctly too.
Evanescence was a popular symphonic metal/ballad band a decade or so ago. They didn't seem to believe in nominative determinism as they continued well past their prime.

Ha Ray, that word really broke my tongue when recording the vocals. The emphasis on that word is really different in Dutch. You wouldn't believe how often I've had to interrupt my singing and yell "Sh*t" at the top of my lungs after a mispronunciation. But now, if you wake me up in the middle of the night and ask for that word, it just comes out fluently. Thanks for your reaction. And I heard from that band (and it's name) after I was searching for this word. Hi Hans.

Vic Hi Vic, I like 'strange' words. Already as a child. But they can't be used often. This one did. And I have a song with another word I liked a lot; "Forlorn". I think you will hear that one day. It sounds and means similair as the Dutch word "Verloren", or in modern English; "Lost". Thanks for your nice words! Thanks everyone, Hans

Hi, Hans. A bit less hard-edged than most of your productions, leaning towards folk. Interesting mix, and thoughtful lyrics.  "Forlorn" doesn't mean "lost" (it's closer in meaning to "abandoned"), but the English Rhyme Guild requires that it always be paired with either "lost", or "forsaken".
