Hi Bud, Janice and Peter,
I don't know why you said at first: "I know, it's not everyone's taste," and then came up with this!!!
And I also see that everyone here is saying about the same thing. So you said it on purpose, Bud... You wanted to provoke these reactions, of course. Well, you succeeded. With flying colors!
Let me start with Peter; amazing guitar playing, man! I thought it was truly fantastic! Your fingers must be completely worn down after that battle with the strings! I assume you have a week off now, with those fingers in a bowl of lukewarm water...
And then Janice! You just keep singing with that velvety voice, as if the years don't play a part at all. Amazing! How do you manage this, time and time again? I assume you're secretly thinking a bit about my singing voice, right?
And then I come to Bud, the maestro of the mix and everything surrounding it. I immediately thought those drums sounded really wonderfully clear. How do you do that? Marty was talking about EZD, do you use that too?
Anyway, a lovely song and wonderfully presented!

Hi J&B.
Once again, you and Peter have shown us all how 'the blues' is done. What an introduction! And when Janice started singing, floyd's comment from a decade or more ago sprang into my mind.... "Janice could sing the phonebook" and if she did, I would still hang on to every syllable. It is easy to hear that this genre is home-base for you all. Everything about this radiates expertise, enjoyment and sincerity... and then some.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening and letting your musical journey lead me along.

Did I ever mention that blues wasn't my genre?  Well, I will just comment on the individual parts then. Vocal is superbly smooth and expressive. Peter is up there in space doing what he does best. Mix is perfectly clear and dynamic. Well worth the listen. Vic

451 degrees and the paper this song was written on has ignited. Flawless. Peter has really let it all hang out. Let's hope he doesn't get arrested. Vocal is what I have come to expect: perfect but human. Thank for the both positive and cool review! J&B

"NO PAYMENTS, JUST PAVEMENT FOR ME SO LONG BABY" you surely know the spicy sauce of the blues, old standards meet Merritt high standard. Peter knows how to roast the strings of his guitar, amazing work! Bud takes care of the high quality of mixing the ingredients and Janice serves the meal with her charming self-confience - every time, not just once in a blue moon. Blues may not be my genre, but Janice & Bud & Peter is Janne Glad you liked it and although this is not actually an old standard we wrote it to try and sound like such.
