Also, If I change the external monitor from "extended" to "main" in the Mac settings, then I see what I expect - notation/lead sheet in the main UI.
With this working, I switched back to the way I want, with the laptop screen as main and external monitor as extended. To confirm, you have your laptop monitor as your main monitor, and you see the 'embedded' (not floating) notation window on your extended stand-alone monitor, when you single left click on the Notation button in the side toolbar? Is this correct? Edit: Do you have your displays arranged vertically with the primary on the bottom? Which mac do you have and what is the macOS version?
