The whole idea of fake emotion is repulsive. If this were a song written by someone real about a real situation, I would say it is just another song. Not great, not total crap.

One of the things that is never talked about. AI does not do anything, period, full stop. AI is a software program that people use to produce things that they are interested in or that they think can produce income.

The problem isn't that AI made the song. The problem is that the person who used AI to make the song had nothing to say. No experience behind it, no real loss, no real story. So they faked the emotion with crying audience clips because the song couldn't generate it on its own.

A tool doesn't have intent. The person using it does. And if your intent is to manipulate people into feeling something you've never felt yourself, it doesn't matter whether you used AI or a guitar to do it — it's still dishonest.

The real problem is that many people do not understand what AI actually is. It's a statistical engine that recognizes patterns in data and generates output based on what it's seen. It has no emotion, no intent, no experience. Every AI song, every AI video, every AI anything — a human being decided to make it, and that human being is the one responsible for whether it's honest or garbage.

I have a serious AI lab, and I am doing serious work with AI, producing serious results. There are some things AI is very good at. AI music generation is not one of them currently. What will happen in the future? Who knows! But one thing is for sure. Music and what people like is highly subjective. There are definitely people who like AI-generated music.

So....my take, let people like or dislike whatever they want.

Cheers,

Billy
