Hiccup City

The song title has nothing to do with the song. It has everything to do with my computer. Lots of problems like finding the D drive, the drive all of my Kontakt sounds are on. I have either a SSD or two going bad and/or a power problem. I will limp along with this 15 year old Win 10 system until I get a new Win 11 system; no sense getting it repaired as I have been pushing it to its max for a couple of years now. I just ran full virus check. It took over 6 hours and everything was clean. I also ran Malwarebytes and it also found nothing.

Regardless I hope you like the song.

BiaB Style - #JCocker.sty
Tempo - 90 PBM
Bass - Ample Bass - Acoustic bass
Piano - EZKeys 2 - Upright Piano - Living Room
Guitar - Kontakt - Amadeus - Nylon String Guitar
Strings - Lounge Lizard - Reed - Old Funky Reeds
Drums - SSD5 - Classic Super Rock - Hybrid

I am playing the lead guitar, my Casio MG 510, and via my Casio MG 510 MIDI controller and my keyboard controller the Swam Tenor Sax. Note that the Casio MG 510 is a strat style guitar with MIDI control built in.

Mario,

That does sound frustrating... Hope you can work it out.

The song is excellent. It has a great avant-garde jazz feel. Awesome mix as well.

Hi Mario.
Your tune is appropriate and well mixed.
Last year I suspected my ssd was struggling after 8 years of work so I downloaded a free program called Crystal Disk Info, which found the disk was only 80% efficient.
Installed a new ssd and all the glitches and crashes disappeared.
Good luck.

Vic

Great playing! Normally it's your Swam instruments that shine for me, but in this case I feel like it's that MIDI strat that steals the show. Good stuff!

Hi Mario!
I like the tempo and movement of this piece, and much of that IMHO is due to the ‘riff’ you’ve got going on the piano - I love that. I eckon it’s the signature of the tune. It makes me want to pick up a guitar and strum along.
I’m going back for a second helping!

Thanx so much Bob. I have narrowed it down to the power supply but I hope I can get one more month or two out of it.

Thanx Vic for both listening and the Crystal Disk information. I had not heard of that one. I DLed it and both of my SSDs are in great shape, 99%. I had an issue awhile back with PCIe to USB card. I had another laying around so I installed it but it also didn't work. I believe that I have a power supply issue but I'm hoping that it lasts for another month or two as that is when I will be getting a new computer; IF all goes wells.

Thanx Bob. I hadn't used the Casio in quite some time so I thought I should try it with a Swam instrument. I think it worked well. I can do more note wise on the MIDI side with the guitar controller then via "sound-on-sound" type recording add the nuances like vibrato, volume, growl, etc.

Thanx Andrew. That piano riff is verbatim from BiaB. Gotta love BiaB!

Thanx Janice and Bud. Yes Window can be a PITA but this problem was a power supply problem. Hopefully I will be getting a new computer in the next month or two.

Nice mood piece: It put me in a good mood. You lead guitar part was grooving and a stand out. Sax is delightfully cool too.

Take a long drink of water and hold you breath for 30 seconds. That should fix your computer.

Great percussive intro. Déjà vu all the way through this as if I've heard it before and already responded to it. Love the horns and the brief breaks. In some parts it sounds like a TV series theme, but I've no idea what genre.

Some favourite Waoist Adages:
#1: Play on the Way.
#13: Ask not for whom the flower blooms, it blooms for you.
#58: Bring consciousness to it.

#92: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.
