If my wife goes first, I don't care where my stuff goes either. It definitely won't be my problem.

My main asset is my house. I bought wisely. For 60K in 1990 I bought a house one lot away from the Indian RIver Lagoon. From living in FL, I observed the closer to the salt water, the greater the rate of appreciation. It's actually on 2 lots. The house is on one, and the other is vacant (I've re-wilded it with native plants that grow here, and a gopher tortoise built his den there).

A house on a single lot, but 2 lots farther from the water, similar to mine just sold for $399k, it was sold in a week, and the buyer didn't even barter on the price.

If Mrs. Notes or I, whoever is the last person standing needs money for a nursing home, my double lot should do. If not, whoever inherits the house is paid well to clean up what we left there.
