Hello
I have been a Mac convert for several years but still have windows on my Mac Book through Boot Camp purely for PG products (nothing else). I would like to be fully removed from the Windows environment and the only thing keeping me there is that I use Real Band (as well as Windows BIAB) as there is no Mac RB version.
I haven't explored Garage Band at all so am not familiar with its capabilities and whether it would substitute for RB. I was wondering if other Mac BIAB users have any suggestion as to what might be appropriate to replace RB.
Also, with limited space on my Mac Book hard drive, a feature for me of windows BIAB and RB is that i can run it from an external drive. Is this the same with Mac BIAB?

First off I only use Mac BIAB and Garageband so I can't compare it to Real Band.
But since you are using a MacBook you should have access to Garageband
as a part of iLife if you using OSX. Or did your OS come without it?
If you are concerned about hard drive space, my Garageband takes 238MB of space on my HD on a MacBook osx 10.5.8 and 185MB on my Cube with osx 10.4.11

Thanks, I have OSX Snow Leopard so I have iLife. I've just never used Garage band because I use Real Band.
Do you know, if I use BIAB for Mac, can I run it from an external drive instead of installing it on my internal drive? I can do this with Windows BIAB.

You should be able to use with external drive.
When I contacted BIAB before installing internally,
I was asked which way I was going to use ext. or int.
