I like this: a history research essay via a song.
You created a fun song with its upbeat melody, vocal delivery, and melody. I like the ending sound effects.

Hi Marty, great storytelling tied into a rocking train beat. The resonator, banjo and fiddle fit perfectly into that moving southern style…..I think Kansas is southern-ish, isn’t it?

Kansas is a little southwest of me in PA and Santa Fe is farther south. If we go south of the beautiful Down Under, it starts getting pretty cold. Man, i always wanted to visit Australia. Everyone i ever met from there is wonderful. Fitting subject on the train beat  Glad your tongue and bass managed to stay on track. Enjoyed the western style arrangement, thanks for the bouncy upbeat ride on your locomotive - no need to pull the brake or fear the train robbers  Janne Thanks, Janne. Man, i practiced those lyrics so often i actually did it in one take --twice. The bass i never practiced, had little idea what i'd play (it's just Rock 'n' Roll  ), and that was also one take --once. Thanks for making the ride so much better, Janne. SUPERB! Your best vocal performance, for me ... a really virtuoso take . The song is wonderful, love the harmonic progressions ... and that fiddle!!! Haven't watched the video yet, wanting to get an idea of the sound, purely, first ... LOVED IT! A history lesson wrapped up in a great, great song ... what's not to like? Loved the ending, too (no spoilers ). BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO. One of your best! WOW, thanks, James, for your over-the-top comment.

Ps... when I was a kid in England I was trains crazy. I wish I had kept my metal trains Wide guage.

I first learned of the place name "Santa Fe" through the Bacharach song "Do You Know the Way to Santa Fe?"

The fiddle, percussion, and your bass provide the perfect locomotive breath, and man, how do you manage to sing so fast without tripping over your words?
