I like this: a history research essay via a song.
You created a fun song with its upbeat melody, vocal delivery, and melody. I like the ending sound effects.
You need to hire that bass player: he kicks a$$.

This is going to get rolling right from the start!
I really enjoyed listening to this, and the story was new to me.

Hi Marty,

It's always nice to hear a historical story-song!

I enjoyed your bass and vocals, and the BIAB fiddle solo really kicked it up a notch.

Great lyrics and mix, too - nicely done!

A musical history lesson and very cleverly written, Marty.

Man how did you make that video? Can you tell me how you did it and which program you used? That was awesome.
Thanks, David. Much appreciated. After reading your comment, i sent you a PM, the gist of which says OpenArt.ai.

Another excellent song Marty, loved it, kind regards.
Thanks, K-Dub Ya. Very kind. As to your question, yes... well, yes and no. Kansas is a little southwest of me in PA and Santa Fe is farther south. If we go south of the beautiful Down Under, it starts getting pretty cold. Man, i always wanted to visit Australia. Everyone i ever met from there is wonderful.

Thanks, Janne. Man, i practiced those lyrics so often i actually did it in one take --twice. The bass i never practiced, had little idea what i'd play (it's just Rock 'n' Roll wink ), and that was also one take --once. Thanks for making the ride so much better, Janne.

A history lesson wrapped up in a great, great song ... what's not to like? Loved the ending, too (no spoilers smile ). BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO. One of your best! smile
WOW, thanks, James, for your over-the-top comment.

History & geography in a song presented as sprightly, warm and entertaining.
Another good'n from the chief good guy.

Hey, Alf --Om. Man, i hope you are well and on your way to mending. Yeah, miss your uniqueness here, buddy. The train craze is real. A cousin of mine always had the best setup when we were kids. He now has a setup that requires 13 engineers operating through glass like a recording studio.

Enjoyed my listen and watch a lot.

Best regards.

HAHA. Hi, Shigeki. Thanks, and i also enjoyed your correction comment. Funny, when i first read this one, i only wanted to correct the writers to be Bacharach/Daivd. "Do you know the way to Santa Fe" sounded right in my head.

Thanks, Brain. Yeah, it was like holding onto the rail of the Caboose with one hand while clutching the lyrics in the other trying to read them as the speed ruffled the paper.

You and the band created a delightful trip.

And you got us reading more history on the railroad line and the Harvey Houses.
We both remember our Mothers talking about their train travels.
BTW, we LOVE steam engines.

Your performances and the BiaB Wrecking Crew are all very nice.

Enjoyed it!

J&B
Thanks, Janice & Bud. That is so cool that you also did some research into the history. i remember you guys liking my train pix from nearby Steamtown National Historic Site in previous videos, also the ones from the Southwest. Man, it would be fun for me & BeBe to take a train ride through that area with you guys.

Thanks, Teach! Man, i could write a lot more about the story, Scott. Love history, but hate our general inability to learn from it.

Thanks, Jona. The story was mostly new to me too. It could be made into a good movie.

Thanks, Bob. At first i auditioned BiaB banjos for the solo, but this fiddle needed almost no regeneration.

Thanks, Finna. After auditioning other instruments, this fiddle player had the best feel for the train.

What a cool tune Mario. That tempo was something else. Basslines were also very cool. Boy did that ever give the song a cool groove. Well done..
