This has a good Lucinda vibe but saying that, it also makes us think you’re like the Merle Haggard of folk-Americana.
That may seem odd but we often feel like we’re part of your conversation in the song as we do with many of his tunes.
Joliz’s bgv’s fits so well with the band’s rhythm and adds to the feeling of motion throughout the song.
The sparse band is excellent support for your very engaging spoken vocal delivery.
And the horns were a very nice addition.
The video was excellent and the sepia FX was a great choice.

Your storytelling really shines here.
The contrast with the melody sung during the chorus is fantastic.
It is rare for you to use a horn section, but the way you’ve employed it—very subtly—is excellent.
The video is wonderful, too.

Nice idea to use peregrine as a metaphor for not settling down, "I don't believe in staying" - beautiful lyrical imagery built around the theme. The wistfulness in the melody and the chords are really emphasized by your wonderful vocals. The chorus highlights how the peregrine takes to its wings. The band, especially the horns, is very enjoyable to listen to.
