Via runs from Edmonton to Vancouver, a great experience and less I think that the Rocky Mountaineer. I've done the train from Toronto to the west coast a bunch of times, and from Toronto to Montreal about 10 times, sometimes on to Quebec City. Check out this: http://www.rockymountaineer.com/en_CA/ Many consider this the greatest train experience, I remember going through tunnels and seeing the engine emerge way below us before we got in...very cool.
