Hi ric,
If you are using Realtracks, the bass part is what is and cannot be modified other than to use Realband and to cut and paste bars to modify the track. If you are using midi, you can go into Notation View. You will need to select the "B" track since Notation View defaults to the "M" for Melody track. It's then possible to modify existing notes or add and remove notes as you wish. Once you get the bass line as you like it, under "Bass" there is a "Freeze" option. Click this on and the bass track will permanently stay as you have modified it. If you hit replay before "Freezing" the track, this will regenerate the bass and all your work will be lost.
