Ive got biab ultraplus 2010 on HD.When I receive the new 2011 version upgrade do I set aside the 2010 version and then input in the 2011.What Im trying to say and very badly.Is biab 2010 now redundant and 2011 takes its place or are they linked up in anyway.Frankie

Good question. I am installing from the HD now. I simply installed in the same directories as my prior 2010.5. Instructions did not specify if you should delete first or install over. In the past I have always installed over. Hope that is correct.

Install 2011 and make sure it works well before uninstalling 2010. I have both 20110 and 2010.5 on my system, but work.

Plenty of backups if a problem occurs. So here is my question. Do we delete and install or simply install over? I don't want a bunch of dead files simply taking up space.

I usually create a copy of my C:/bb directory, so I save my songs, pat files, etc.
I go ahead and install over the old BB directory, and then copy over my songs and .pat files, and any additional style files I have. When it asks if I want to overwrite files, I say 'No' and the means the old style files won't overwrite the new ones, but the stuff that I don't have in the new directory does get copied over.

I'm blessed watching God do what He does best. I've had a few rough years, and I'm still not back to where I want to be, but I'm on the way and things are looking far better now than what they were!

I think I will make a full backup copy of my BB2011 drive, onto the old BB2010 drive.
Might take a long time, both being USB, but a backup is a backup is a backup.

Ditto. makes extra sense for me since while I have the program fully installed on my DAW, I do use the USB drive with my laptop for gigs. This way only have to transfer the music set from DAW to laptop.

lol Thanks everyone.Still not sure what to do but if Ive got the 2010 HD then I know everything is stored on that HD.So I will just put it aside as a back up(this is just for biab/rb software)and install the 2011 version. Im sure if doing such a thing might cause problems then PG would have warned us about it.Thanks Frankie
