I need some speakers for my new HP laptop. I saw the Logitech AudioHub Notebook Speakers on Amazon for 64.99 free shipping. Any good?
I need something portable for being away for 3 months this winter. I have my desktop Logitechs that work great at home with subwoofer etc.

If you're away from home and you're only listening for yourself I'd get a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M40fs headphones. I've used these for years and mix all my stuff this way. Sold my monitors.

Take long hard look at the Altec Lansing BX1220 series.
Very nice sounding, powered from the laptop USB port, cost effective and easy to pack in the suitcase when traveling, I like mine for use with BiaB when on the road. I can hear everything I need to hear with them.

I found both of them on Amazon. The Altec Lansing BX1220 were 19.55 with free shipping. I'm going to order them.
They are powered through USB and that will be nice. Is it a problem if I use a 4 from one USB extension? Or use that extension for plugging in other things like printers, mouse,midi etc.

joan, the only way to really tell if hooking them to the hub would be problematic is to get them and give that a try.
My laptop has three USB ports and I have found that my Altec Lansings power fine from one of the "front" ports, leaving the one in the rear next to the power jack to be used with my BiaB/RB USB drive. All works fine like that. But each laptop design handles USB power differently, so we have to try it out to see.
A powered USB hub, one which has a separate connection to AC power, should certainly handle everything.
Wait until they get to your door, then find out about hookup.
