I just bought BB and RealBand 2011.
I install everything even the update for the 2 of them.
I would like to know why I have distortion when I play a song.
I am on Windows 7.
Thank you very much

Man walks tells his doctor, "Doc, it hurts when I do this", doc says "stop doing that"

My point ... You have to tell us more. What exactly are you playing (midi - RTs), if RTs does the tempo match the tracts? What sound hardward components are involved here?

Yes, more info on your system and settings, please, and perhaps a description as best you can of "distortion when I play a song". Can you record a sound clip?

What are the checkbox settings in BIAB's Preferences, RealTracks dialog box?

Are you hearing the same thing in both BIAB and RealBand?

Did you recently change your hardware? Are you running a wireless network?

I have distortion when I playback RealTracks - Demos songs.
The audio sound like the speakers are blow up.
But when I play some mp3 or wav files it's ok do you know what I mean.
So I would like to know why I have that distortion in my speakers and my headphone to.
Midifiles is ok only the audio file are like that.
thanks

Are you using an ASIO sound device?

It may be that the sound device is "locked" onto a different bitrate than the one BiaB needs to use.

ASIO should be set to allow any host program to call and change the bitrate to the one it needs. BB is 16/44.1

This is a setting found in the soundcards control panel, not inside BiaB.

A fast way to find out, however, inside BiaB, MIDI/Audio settings, change it to MME just to see if the problem goes away.

My Prosessor is a AMD Athlon (tm) II X4 630 Processor 280 GHz

My Memory installed (RAM) is 4.00 Go

My System Type is 32 bits
------------------------------------------------------------
I just finish a test.
I made a wave file of a song that I have ditortion in BBW 2011 and RealBand 2011.
When I play the wave file there's no distortion at all.
I ear the distortion only when the song is play in BBW 2011 or RealBand 2011.
So what could be the problem.

I am using an ASIO sound device.
I tried a test like you said in MME device.
I don't have that distortion any more.
Thank you very much Mac.

I just download the new update for bb (Band-in-a-Box Version 2011 Build 313 BETA Update)
I put back my asio device and so far there's no distortion when I play a song.
So I think that my setup was ok my friends.
It was something wrong with band in a box.
Bye for now

ASIO has been touchy with some systems. Works good on others. In BETA we were told that ASIO was going to be improved. This BETA indeed did subtly mention ASIO updates.Looks like they're on it.
