I hooked up the UA 700 again and opened BIAB, no problem. I opened RB and it played
fine. I opened MIDI options and cancelled four times still no problem.
I did remember something that Mac mentioned. I downloaded the new W7x64 driver but
when I plugged in the UA 700 it started up by itself. I never installed the new driver
and and the UA 700 has never been used with my new laptop.
I would try a different driver or uninstall the UA 700 and let WIN set it up.
That's all I can do to help. I have used the UA 700 with BIAB, RB, Music Time Dlx. and
Sonar 8.5 and never have had a problem with MME or ASIO except with BB 2010 , Vista
and ASIO. I never did figure that out. I just used my Guitar Synth. with Sonar for imputing midi melodies.

Did you 'all notice that this is a 24bit card only @ 44.1/48/96 Khz

Bit depth of 24 shouldn't matter when doing 16, just more zeros.
At least, that has been my experience with other brands of 24 bit devices.

Except that RB does have choices specifically for those bit depths.
No way to test.

I've had a couple or three sound devices that were 24-bit and the worked okay in RB/PT when the program was set internally to 16.
