Just to stick my foot in deeper about 3/4:

If you put a chord on the first beat of the first cell, and another chord on the first beat of the second cell, you might expect BIAB to play these evenly as two dotted quarters in 3/4. Instead, what you will hear is a half note duration for the first chord, then a quarter note duration for the chord on beat three.

For something syncopated in 3/4, where you really do want two chords each the length of a dotted quarter, put an eighth note push on the chord in the second cell.
