Right now, I should be correcting the sibilance from my previous effort, "Amazing Grace". But ... I'm tired, so, instead of doing the nitty-gritty work on that song, here's something new (actually, a 2024 re-work of an earlier attempt at this song) - see what you think? I've decided to leave the breath noises in, deliberately, for now, but - if people don't like them, I'm open to taking them out, we shall see  . James...this is beautiful...a very pleasing Polynesian feel...one of your best vocal performances...very lovely. I agree. There is nothing wrong with the vocal. In fact this is the best vocal you have done to date IMHO. Really nice backing tracks, they fit perfectly to your vocal. Excellent work James.

Bob: ever so kind! So glad you liked it - thanks!!! Ray: yes, I thought I'd sing this one (rather than delegate that to a vocaloid singer), simply because of the emotion that this song needs. Well done all around. Why a synth if not needed? Nice production all around. Enjoyed it! J&B BTW, not that it's needed on this production but since it was mentioned ... There are breath analyzer effects around that will let you very quickly set it to reduce breath intakes as much as you like. One adjustment and that's all needed for the entire track. From completely to very minimal. We've used Ozone's Breath Analyzer for 10 years on all of Janice's vocals. Just a we bit to reduce it but not take the human aspects out.

Janice, Bud: thank you so much. I thought that this song was really personal in nature, and needed human emotion in its delivery, so that's part of the reason why I did decide to sing it myself ... glad you liked it! I will have a look at the Breath Analyzer! Usually, I just isolate the breath sections and delete them, but yes, THAT would allow me to do something potentially more subtle, I think . Thanks so much!
