Oh bloooody WOW. How good is that? What an absolutely outstanding performance, the dynamics are sensational, the rhythm and timing unbelievable, the musicians all so incredibly talented, the animation astounding. Also, the totally unexpected and humorous way the performance starts, amazing! Thanks for this find, Noel. I'm going searching for more of Luca's works.

Re: I Can't Save in Real Band goofeyfoot 59 minutes ago Forum: Band-in-a-Box for Windows
That was my thinking too. But here’s what I tried to test the theory. I saved a file on my local desktop. I messed around with the file as though I was editing it. I saved to the file. I got the same error. I tried it again. This time, it worked without error. I did it a couple more times. I got different results without rhyme or reason. Then, I went to the preferences section and noticed there’s a field there that says “Path“. No clue why that’s even there. For reasons I can’t explain sometimes that path would show the local address (i.e. where the test file actually is). Sometimes it would choose to show the cloud address. Even though the file NEVER left the local desktop. So there seems to be no rational connection between the place that you’re working from, whether it’s in the cloud or locally and that so-called Path field which could read anything. I have no idea why that is there, but it is very troubling to have to think about something obscure like that tucked away in a setting somewhere. And yes, if you have the presence of mind to remember this, you can manually set the Path to wherever the file really is. But why on earth should you ever have to do that? Thanks. Michael

Re: We have RealStyles made of RealTracks. How about RealProductions made from multiple RealStyles? Matt Finley 1 hour ago Forum: Band-in-a-Box Wishlist
They already have this. We just don't have very many that were pre-made. BIAB introduced MultiStyles some years ago but you don't hear much about it because to my knowledge there are no recent new ones. However, you can construct your own. Here's a bit about it from Help, Index: Band-in-a-Box MultiStyles are styles that can have up to 24 Substyles; original Band-in-a-Box styles had two Substyles, "a" and "b". Band-in-a-Box MultiStyles typically have four Substyles, but may have up to twenty-four, selected by using part markers "a" through "x". -- and there's a lot more info to read --

Hi Pat, long time no see! Man I love your guitar work in this one, very tasty and professionally played. Your vocal was very good, great job on that. The groove was fantastic and the backing band was spot on. So all I can add is - loved it. PS - I hope this is just the start of you posting songs again.

I don't think the lyrics are trite. I especially liked your opening lines: "I always wanted to be your safe full of treasures/But you never tried to learn my combination." Sweetly put. Peter's guitar blends in with the gentleness of the song. A+ vocal performance!

Re: Simpler Times Noel96 1 hour ago Forum: User Showcase
Hi Andrew. It's good hear a singer singing in Australian smile I felt right at home. What a great song. I love the way you have drafted the lyrics. Because there is no obvious rhymes until the last line of each verse—go/know, away/play, talk/walk—the lyric content sounds like someone speaking and telling a story. I found this very, very effective. It mesmerised me. This lyric technique fitted the style and presentation of the song perfectly. As Tano said, "the last line of the verse had a nice dual-rhyme that seemed to satisfy the listening ear for that rhyme...nice effect!" I wholeheartedly agree. Here in Melbourne at 11:30 am on a grey, overcast and somewhat cold November Saturday, your music was a perfect companion. You brought memories of me sitting in front of an open fire, warming my feet, sipping a glass of red wine and contemplating life. I'm a fan of what you've done! --Noel

Imagine modern music with the blues influence and appropriation removed across the last 75 years or so. Can a Caucasian man sing the blues...I'd say yes if they feel & mean it. It'll be that Caucasian's blues. Clapton proved, on Journeyman, that the blues can be bleached to a ghostly nothingness. I know plenty of ROCK songs that burn with some blues. This is a Snyder Blues wail and is what it is...a fun one too.

I particularly enjoyed your guitar parts...cool stuff. The only thing that sticks out is adding museum after Guggenheim. I know it's there for rhythm and rhyme but, for me, it ever so slightly spoils the local sense of the lyric. REALLY, really cool thing.

Nice work. I though the cadence on "to be ready when you return." made the rhyme seem a little clunky. Had the voice moved down I think it'd have sounded better. Nevertheless a REALLY cool production.

THANKS, Floyd! As a teen, Paul Simon was one of my songwriting heroes, and a few years later, so was Elvis. We're very happy to be anywhere in the same zip code as those two musically, even if far fetched. Glad you enjoyed the song!
