Good day everyeone, spent quite a bit of time this week with PG team working on this, up until today same results with lots more variations attempted. I received an email last night from PG to install an update to RB and now have sound using ASIO driver only, no MME of Windows drive combos work. I don't understand why the audio settings that work in BnB don't in RB. I understand a USB device is best but still would like to PLAY the song through another external device, like my PA, so I can hear as it would be played to an audience. Thanks for all your guidance on this, glad to be back working on my music. I have about 1TB of disk space

I guess I’m in way over my head. I probably should clarify what I’m trying to do here. I probably won’t write any midi music in real band. What I probably will do is write music in band in a box and then move that over to real band for further attention. (“Butchery” might be a better word.😝) So I might end up working with mid files or real tracks or both in Real Band. To date, I installed the VST 64 item that was mentioned. I guess there’s another step called “sound fonts“. I didn’t do that yet because I don’t know if that will make a difference to what I am doing. Does it? So let’s say I get the sound fonts issue all sorted out. I imagine I have to set the midi output settings or something somewhere. If that’s the case, exactly how would I change those settings. They seem pretty complicated and confusing to a layman. Thanks again for your responses and patience.

If I didn't know any better, I would have thought it was Chris from Blue Attitude singing here, even though her voice has a bit different timbre. Pretty good vocals. I'm not 100% sold on the vocal harmonies, to me, it sounds like Melodyne doesn't work as well with Audimee as it does with human voices. But I know from your work with J&B that you're pretty good at harmonies, so just sing the harmonies as well and send those to Audimee too. The band you chose is perfect, just like your production. The lyrics and the story are also very good, but I already expected that from Mr. "95% of all songs should be love songs" himself  I can't wait to hear it in the context of a full-length (Broadway) musical! Thanks, B.D.... I've listened carefully to the harmonies (based on your comments). I find nothing objectionable about the them - and, certainly, adequate for the purpose. If I need "real" harmonies, I know the best harmony singer in the world  (and she is included in some of the songs being used). I just used the free 15 minutes that Audimee provides to get the conversions I needed...so using it for harmonies is out of the question - I have 9 seconds left. After this (the "storyboard" for the show) is finished, I can't imagine needing to use this stuff for anything else...

Another candidate is tempo set in the F5 bar settings somewhere. There's a "Print Summary" button at the bottom of the F5 dialog that lists all changes within the song.

This was terrific! It had an eerie mood that just plain worked. I LOVE the chords. And your vocalist's impassioned singing at the two minute mark drove the point home. Your best by far, so far. Might be the best track I've heard in 2026!

Morning folks, 8 bar blues are always fun to play, and the 8 bar format works very well with slower tempos too IMHO. Janice sounds fabulous, and Peter does too, I especially liked his second solo. Good one you three, enjoyed! Our introduction to the eight bar was Key To The Highway and even earlier some of Bessie Smith’s songs. We’ve always felt a slow 8 bar works well in a 12-8. It got placed on a popular slow blues Spotify list today. Thanks for mentioning the vocal and the solo. Comments like you made are sooooo meaningful coming from a great blues man. Thank you! J&B

This is a great song and reminds of the 26 years I lived in London, my 20s to mid-40s. It's the usual brilliant production, but I wouldn't cut verse 3 as it come in just at the right place. An alternative would be to cut your least favourite non-chorus verse and play a solo over the following chorus, though that wouldn't shorten it a lot. Thanks, Chay! London is quite a lovely place to visit, but I'm not sure I could have done 26 years there. Thanks as well for the thoughts on shortening or extending the song. We've done a couple of songs lately that feature solos, maybe I'll post one of those soon...

… You have natural skill to write original pop songs. This new one sounds is a good example, melody and chord progression feel natural and catchy, the bridge has especially nice contrast to verses and chorus. The simple band supports well and your vocals blend in nicely. The YouTube version sounds a little better, is it still the same version as on SoundCloud? BTW. I finally figured out your songs remind me of music by ... Ringo Starr (I've been listening to his EP3 lately) :)… Thank you Janne! When listening to music I liked over the years, I’ve always wished I could write songs as good as those artists. I guess we all want that. I’ve created my own library of well-known songs (over 2000 with lyrics and chords) and that process exposed me to the chord underpinnings of each song, so it was kind of an analysis in a way that has probably done my own songwriting some good. Soundcloud and YouTube have the same audio track, so any difference arising would come down to how each platform renders the audio I guess. Like Dave and I'm sure others, it's sooo frustrating when favourite pieces get less views than those far better!

ReSing claims to be the only product that does what it does… Of course not. Like all other AI products, gotta pay for all the data center usage somehow. The pricing is tiered — $130 for the basic package. You want the Vocal Modeling add-on? That’s $150. There’s another $100 for a Producer’s Pack Vol 1and then a slew of Pro Voices that you can hire for one month at a time for $19–$29 per month. There may be more add-ons but I stopped counting. IKM ReSing Unless you pop down the first $280, ReSing is useless for anything other than demos, same as the AI products I already use. At least the one I use most translates MusicXML so I get notes and words—ReSing can’t. Frankly, I miss the 1980s when so many demos all used the same voice — but it was Livingston Taylor (James’s brother) and he is easy on the ears. Haven’t heard a single AI product yet about which I can say the same.
