Been hangin out in the TC Helicon forums and stumbled across this gem:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcsT-A8CsBA
It is entitled bohemian rhapsody autotune karaoke (VoiceLive 2)

You have to listen long enough to hear the vocal processor tuned off, its a hoot.

This guy looks strangely familar, can't quite put my finger on it . He does have some cool gear!

Unfortunately, that is what it sounds like behind the glass in recording studios around the world these days...

looks like we don't have to endure homely but talented performers anymore.

Now you can find somebody beautiful, make them sing through an autotuned device, and they'll have thousands of youtube subscribers in short order. (even if they're totally unable to sing... if they look good, software can make them sound good)

The first thing this guy missed is the beautiful part. And really, he needs to tweak the output from his vocal processor in order to sound good.

The performer is using a video auto-pixelator as well. It is actually Ann Coulter.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Taylor Swift!

Back in my day the only time we started panic buying was when the bartender shouted "last call"!

To even attempt to replicate a great vocal group like Queen is amazing to me. The first guy said he can actually sing better than that but was intentionally singing off key to make the unit really work. Frankly even with that disclaimer it takes some guts to put yourself out there for the whole world to see sounding like that. The second guy is not bad and the unit really shines with a half decent vocalist. Two decent singers in a well mixed five piece band can really sound like something with this unit and a little work. Very impressive. Would I rather listen to a group of naturally great singers? Of course but finding those people is very difficult and getting them all together for a rehearsal is almost impossible without dangling some big bucks in front of them. I think it's only a matter of time until that unit has the Elvis preset, the Barbara present, the MJ preset, the Manhattan preset and who knows who else presets. Actually maybe those already exist?
