hp pavillion g7 17 inch.
There are A-dapters (as Johnny Cash says) attaching small mixers to mic stands.
Any ideas for laptops like music stand with bungee?

I have been up and down that road many many times. The best I could come up with (for me anyway) was This Stand from Office Depot. I modified the bottom by placing a 1/8" piece of Luan board and secured all of my electronic adapters and cords, i.e. my laptop, mixer, Digitec harmonizer and power strip. My laptop and small mixer fits on the table top secured with velcro. And oh yes I did have to adjust the height riser with a small piece of 2"x2" wood attached to the inside riser arm. All of the guts are hidden with various themed styled curtins that fasten to the stand with velcro. It is light weight and carrys in on my equipment cart. You've got plenty of off-the-shelf options these days: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/search/search.jsp?sB=r&question=laptop+stand I've always used the simple heavy duty black Music Stand by tilting it back to the near horizontal and then tightening the bolts well. A black "bungee" cord to make sure the lappy doesn't leave the stand and it works very well indeed. I like to fold the laptop out flat when doing that, although you don't necessarily have to do that. --Mac
