I have all this Smithstonian-type hardware in my 33' 5th Wheel RV, so today I started "recovering" toys from my "basement" storage spaces.
First was a couple of Korg M3r's ,,,great rack modules that needed new batteries and the original factory presets in them. Thanks to my remembering MidiOx, the sys-X midi software that makes this job a piece of cake, I was soon successful and transfering all that good musical stuff over the internet, into my new Gateway Win8,and finally into the units themselves.
I'm fortunate to have bought a number of M3r memory cards and I did with the Korg M-1 + keyboard...so between the both I've got lots of Korg sounds to work with.
Also spent a few hours thismorning, cleaning up my Korg Karma, a truly unique "trance machine" keyboard, with a couple of extra Korg Synth Cards, a Trance and a Moss Board.
Below that, on an Apex stand, I worked my Yamaha CS6X, another keyboard for the Trance/DJ crowds, that is frightenly cool at getting chicks "moving" to the beat.
Above the Karms, I polished up my Korg Pa-80 Arranger, a very cool keyboard with nice built-in speakers.
Off to one side, spanning the entire width (almost) of my front room "slide out", I've got my Motif ES 88 perched on two five foot tower speakers...with a big lazy boy perched beneath the "span". A mighty ballsey keyboard, that one.
That was enuff activity for one day...at 79 1/3rd!
Tomorrow I close in my little front room music section with my Korg Triton, EPS Ensonique Keyboard Sampler, and my ol Roland G-1000 88-note Arranger on the other Apex Stand.
Cleaned up and on the table next to the Motif ES is a Roland XP-5080 module and an Akai S-5000 Sampler Module, with a Behringer 9024 Ultradyne Finalizer on the top of them. I put my Fender Keyboard Amp and Sub Woofer under one side of the Motif in the bay window.
I'll be a tired puppy by tomorrow night...have to find a place for my 16-track mixer, Crown Amp, and other assorted effects units and guitar controllers until I can locate a space on the kitchen table.
My two Behringer Amps, Ultratone K 3000 PH and Behringer BHL-1800 Bass Guitar Amp will have to stay in the bedroom with my computer....and two dogs..."Miles" and "Tiger"!
When I get this all completed, I'll send a few photos of my favorite place in the woods under these big southern Oaks!

Green with envy, huh, ...ol' Lizzard!?
Only thing that I've been gettin' is getting "taken", by this sweet young thang... that knocked on my RV door to get me to "donate" to her "poor sick 5-yr-old-girlie's "cause to get better"!!...
After she "escaped" with "my plastic", two days later the card reappeared on the steps... ($600 lighter in my bank account thanks to do-it-yourself-cash stations)!
I decided not to let these "Sumerians" (Summertime gals in Bikinis with nuthin' left to do but practice with straws in their noses),,, get near my worldly goods...or my wallet! Too much sweat and not 'nuff gigs" with a pacemaker to boot!
Thus... I have plastered my front and back doors with Gun-Show bumper-stickers, Marine Saying on the outside..."When In Doubt, Empty the "Magazine"!! (Clip)
...The back door has..."wild and crazy dogs..break-in at your own risk...if you can make it thru the bullets! Friendly, no es verdad??
That's why I walk around in these southern Trailer Parks with a Walther PPK-S, on my cryin' shoulder!
Here's to Cocaine Users...may they ALL rest in the great beyond!!

You're my hero buddy. Nearly 80 and look at you. You know more about technical midi stuff than 75% of much younger folks on this forum. I so tired of reading about how somebody's ol brain just can't handle all this high tech stuff. Bullcrap I say! Look at GDaddy, if he can do it whatinhell's the matter with you?
Some people think that turning 65 means their brains get set in concrete and it's all over. I've been a tax guy for 12 years and decided 3 years ago at age 64 to get my Enrolled Agents license. I don't really need it but it's the certification to get for tax pros. The 3 part exam has a first try pass rate of about 35%. I passed all three the first time. Unless someone has a serious legitimate medical condition when they say oh I'm old I can't do this I say...BITE ME. Just do it. It's called use it or lose it.
Keep on truckin and keep on letting us know all about it too.

My sincere advice to you sir, is to remove those signs and simply and quietly protect yourself with deadly force only if deadly force is about to be used on you and yours. Funny warning signs aren't so funny when paraded in front of judges and juries and have been known to make things go very bad for a basically good guy who was just defending himself. Sorry to hear of your problem, but the way to protect yourself against that is to simply never let your cards out of your own hands. --Mac

Hey Bob, my ol' Buddy from Florida...didn't realize you were up into your 60's...
I loved Redondo Beach, when I stayed there for a class in 403B Annuities...about fifteen years ago.
It's not just that I bought all this stuff to look at. I was very selective overall in the types of music I wanted to play...namely jazz and ballads...with a lil trance thrown in. Thanks to Pat Metheny, I kept on a dual track like him....straght ahead jazz mixed with the new synthy stuff.
I've cherished the time I've been given to both enjoy and make music. Four wives never did me in...either have snide remarks...
Just all part of the dues you pay as you transverse this planet.
Thanks for your kind words!!
Later when you're Straighter!!

That's exactly what I've been doing too. Even though it's been 90% jazz for the last 15 years or so I do classic rock shows too. I can channel my inner Keith Emerson and go crazy on some B3 parts in a rock show. I just did a 3 day Woodstock themed thing on Catalina over Memorial Day. There's some semi retired heavyweights living in Avalon like Spencer Davis and the bandleader who hired me who has been friends with Greg Allman for a long time and even did a few studio tracks with him. It's funny though for the Doors, Joe Cocker, Jefferson Airplane etc I was the only one in the band old enough to have played that stuff when they were hits. When I got out of the Air Force my first gig was a dive bar on Sunset Blvd and the Doors were playing right up the street. I have to say it was great fun to dust off the intro to Light My Fire especially considering Ray Manzarek just died. I hadn't done that in at least 30 years.
I do the same as you, I seriously dabble in a bit of hip hop, prog rock, synth stuff etc and I love Pat Metheny. Pat and Herbie have the best version of Canteloupe Island I've yet heard.
That same bandleader just hired me for his Allman Brothers tribute band so now I'm digging up all their stuff. They definitely have some pretty cool tunes for what a lot of jazzers think was just a hillbilly blues band. Not so at all in fact I would call the Allmans the forerunner to a lot of jazz rock bands.
But don't worry I've already got a few straight ahead gigs coming up too and there's usually a few more that will pop up later on. I'll be back to A Train and Tunsia soon enough.
Btw, I agree with what Mac just said. Now I know what you're thinking, at your age what are they gonna do anyway? I know all that but you don't need the hassle. I agree with your thinking but go easy with the "in your face" gun stuff. Florida may be as bit more tolerant of that but here on the Left Coast you practically have to get shot first before you can draw on somebody and get away with it.
