Dear All, Small question: Is there a searchable list or database of all available RTs anywhere? http://www.pgmusic.com/realtracks.all.php?os=win lists all RTs by set, but finding a specific RT means a manual search of this list each time. (I realise that installing all RTs makes them more searchable from within the program, but for both memory and workflow reasons I prefer only to install the RTs I'm likely to need.) Many Thanks... Hi Andy, Have a look at the pdf found at the below link. ... list of Realtracks for BIAB/RB 2013Is this the kind of list of Realtracks that you had in mind? If so, it's easy to obtain. - Go to the Realtrack Picker window.
- Hold the <SHIFT> key down and then click the mouse on "Update" (at the bottom of the Realtrack Picker Window).
- You'll be asked to save the list as a .txt file.
- When I clicked "OK", it opened Notepad and saved the data there.
- I selected all the text in the Notepad window (<CTRL+A>), copied it (<CTRL+C>), pasted it into an open spreadsheet window (<CTRL+V>).
- The text is tab delimited so simply select "Tab" when Excel asks and the data will be copied into the spreadsheet in appropriate columns.
As already mentioned, the pdf of my spreadsheet document contains all Realtracks up to version 2013. Hope this is useful, Noel

Hi Andy,
Over the years of using this marvelous program, I have found that it is virtually impossible to sort Styles and RealTracks by merely reading the category names and descriptions.
There have been many times where I find the "perfect" style or Realtrack for a particular songfile from listed genres, styles, feel, etc. that would seem to not be apropos for the one at hand.
I tend to think of it as the styles being able to "crossover" from whatever their listed genre may be, to one of the other genres.
For example, there are many of the Country RealTracks that can be inserted into Jazz, Pop, or Rock songs with very good results. And the end result does not sound, "country". That's only one example.
Having all styles available for Audition from within the Stylepicker, then, is my recommended way to go here.
The cost of USB external hard drive for storage of Realtracks and Realdrums has never been lower than it is today, and we can install "just" BB's main program on the C: drive along with the necessary fonts, plugins, MIDI synths, etc. with a relatively small footprint, pointing BB's use of the RealTracks and Realdrums to that outrigger USB storage.
It works a treat and won't keep you from using all available resources in your work.

And your pdf gives me the complete list without my having to install them all! Just what I wanted.
Mac: You're so right. I think it was you, some moons ago, when I was asking about even piano RTs at higher tempos, who said "just use swing" - and you were so right. I must indeed learn to be less cautious and experiment with things, beyond what's written on the tin.

One other quick question whilst we're on the wonder of the 52 pages:
Do you happen to know if any of the trumpet RTs use the harmon mute?

I don't seem to recall any Realtrack Trumpets with Harmon Mute, might be wrong, working from memory.
BUT -- Don't overlook MIDI Patch for that work, as the MIDI Harmon Mute Trumpet is one of the few that can pass muster IMO, there are very few that can tell the difference if you pay attention to things like range, etc.
And then there's that thing that happens when Realtracks are used along with MIDI, in which the MIDI often sounds much more realistic.
