Pre-purchase question:
If I make a BIAB song containing MIDI tracks as well as RealTracks and Real Drums, can all of it be exported to files I can import into my DAW software (Sonar PE)? If it can be done, I am guessing that it would take two steps: export the MIDI tracks to a .mid file, then export the RealTracks/Real Drums to a .wav file? (I know MIDI can be exported because I have done it in the past with BIAB version 7.)
Assuming it can be done, if the MIDI tracks start at measure 1 but the RealTracks don't start until measure 5, would the exported .wav file contain 4 measures of silence at the beginning so the timing will sync up to the exported MIDI file when opening them both in a DAW?

Hi - I use BIAB 2008.5. You can generate waves from BIAB by right clicking on the RT or RD (green) track name - the RTs and RDs wav will have (as you said) silence from the start - just import them to 1: 01: 00 in your software. They'll line up. If you have a VSt/DXi Synth checked in the midi driver setup, right click on each midi instrument in the header of the chord sheet, and wav files will be generated for each instrument and suitable for export. I just checked a couple of midi instruments I had exported and there was click track - but they still lineup with RTs and RDs when you import them all at 1:01:00 in your DAW software pgm.
Hope that's not too sketchy - that's the procedure I use - perhaps another Forum member can streamline it for you. Cheers
