I hear the pitch too, but accept it - there are about 60 people singing and not everyone will have a perfect performance on the same day. Overall they sound very good
What impressed me a lot was the intro (of course) and the 'drummer' - he was rock solid throughout! The recording as a whole was done well, I second the props to the sound guy
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!

I think that it is not apropos to evaluate the performance of a youth choir such as this one if you have not had ample experience with same. Without that, it is likely not possible to appreciate the situation nor evaluate the amount of dedication, practice and leadership involved in an undertaking of this sort.
My kudos go not only to the performers themselves, who deserve same for their obvious dedication to practice of the art, but to the Arranger of this one as well as the Director, who may well be one and the same, don't know. But the level to which this group has aspired -- and achieved -- is high in my opinion.
If you've never done it, take my word for it, putting yourself in the position of Director of such an endeavor takes a lot of dedication in so many different aspects that successfully pulling off a performance of this nature is indeed worthy of congratulation.
Translate that any way you wish -- and I'm sure some of you will -- but volunteering to herd the cats is either an act of love or an act of insanity, trust me on that one. I've been there. This Director taught PERFORMANCE. Successfully.
Critique is the easiest of tasks, often done without knowledge or wisdom aforethought.

I have been in a few choirs in my day, and none could even come close to this performance.
Kudos

My wife has been in a number of choirs over the years and I have seen a number of different directors. I was only in a choir in high school. In addition to dedication, I've seen some directors who had great abilities to motivate their choir members to achieve beyond "normal" abilities. Every once in awhile you come across someone like that and teachers as well. That is a very special talent, IMHO, that not too many folks are blessed with. OTOH, I know a choir director with a doctorate in music who is also a very talented arranger. I have played some of his music with his choir. However, a number of singers I know will not be in his choir because they say he's a jerk. I have to say he was nice to me and the other trumpet player, though. My point is that he is dedicated but is missing the motivating talent. The Slovenian singers look like they are really enjoying themselves so maybe their director has both dedication and motivation.

Didn't mean to start an argument.
By the way, I was in a 120 voice choir for 4 years that did concerts about 25 weekends each year. We were not this good.
