Another early morning link you may find of interest I have Sonar Producer IV, and just received this link to Cakewalk TWITTER site.
(Yes everyone is getting into the act). I've always avoided that spot but I did just join so that I could find out what the forthcoming Sonar will include...and, evidently still more to come, which, if you sign up for Twitter, they'll make sure the additions get into your personal web-mail address.
I'll just say Cakewalk (versions I've owned for many years) and its mogrification into Sonar is as "startling" as PG Music's rapid rise to popularity with its own rapid music software development. I've always thought the Cakewalk/Sonar approach much less "mind bending" that some of the other software offerings...I tried 'em but too difficult for this old geezer. Anyway, if you'd like to peruse some of the new features just over the horizon, for Sonar: Join up if interested in the Sonar DAW product!! Search for Cakewalk.com at the Twitter site!

Now this is a link if you're already a registered twitter user, like I just became, and it includes a surprising list of more features...

The next version of SONAR is most likely SONAR 9, not SONAR IV.

Most of the SONAR online community has rebelled against being asked to go to Twitter for one-a-day leaks about the new features. I'm not thrilled, either, but you can see the twitter fact without joining so it's not so bad.

There will also be "under the hood" improvements to the main audio engine, which they have told us about but which are not one of the 'tweets'.

Actually, Matt, there IS a new product -- Sonar IV -- being developed by Cakewalk Biologicals, a subsidiary.

It consists of "UltraSoftware" which comes in a 500 cc plastic bag, and you install it in an antecubital vein via sterile catheter. Then you simply think about the music you want, and very soon you can produce (pee out) a finished product, mixed and mastered.

They were thinking of calling it "Band in a Bag," but the lawyers said no.

Sonar I.V. (intravenous) how gaseously funny isThat!!

Actually, Sonar IV Producer, which I've used for years, has allowed me to procreate children with three completely different DNA offspring, affording increased immunity to all sorts of communicable diseases, such as those contracted from having unprotected sex with dill pickles!
...Just want to be content with sweet relish now and then, from the Deli or wherever I find it!

And what's wrong with twitter?? Since joining it this morning, I find myself with 2,356 fresh hits on my Album offerings, in just six hours. But you'll have to join twit to enjoy the music which will be slowly "twipped" out And take advantage of the ol' reliable Producer I.V.
