I thought they show up in the post using the image tag UBB thing. Seems to work for others but hey, I thought some people might like to see what they can get when and if the next version arrives. I thought the packaging and hard drive were genius. I think sending it that way to a magazine reviewer would garnish some great attention too, it's Box it's a Band and it's both in one. I smile every time I look at the darn box.

I suspect the box might be a bit expensive to send for those of us on the other side of the Atlantic, but it was nice to see what we'll be missing!

I used to sell software and import software. It's all about how you package it. Educational Materials as a designation and declaring the value of the item was the way Customs told me to do it. So if I shipped diskettes, and it had educational information, the declared value was usually 2 or 3 dollars. So if they are careful and ship it with the declared value of the hard drive, it should not be an issue. The best way would be to volunteer to receive it maybe they'd make you a test case and you could report back!

The Image tool here only works with graphic file extensions and then only certain ones at that.
I always use the jpeg extension because it is typically the one that conserves bandwidth the most.
I see on the page that the image itself is a jpg from rightlclicking on it and viewing its Properties, BUT Google is injecting some code that makes the entire thing into a URL instead of allowing just the jpg image to be grabbed from another URL. Likely to decrease the bogdown of hotlinking.
It is considered bad netiquette to hotlink to another site without site owner permission. I did that once and the site owner sent me an email rant you wouldn't believe (grin). Never did that again.
Now, if I want an image like that, I RightClick on the image, save it to my disk, then ftp it to one of my available servers to hotlink here. If you don't have a server available directly, there are free sites for this purpose that you can sign up for and upload these kind of hotlinked files to.
Just make sure that the site will not turn the thing into an actual url instead of a url with the actual filename ex: "mypic.jpg" at the very end of the string. That's what's needed to post images here.

It's odd because it is on Picassa, and they provide a box with the hotlink to the picture. It says copy this. The even provide the direct html code with the <table xxx> thing at the start to embed it in your webpage.
The frustration of jpeg jpg, JPEG, etc with some servers drove me nuts. Not to mention it would work in Firefox then not in IE.
Probably the file extension used in the coding of the forum is not compatible with picassa and how it calls the shot..so to speak.

It runs Band in a Box fine, I suspect it might be a bit faster if software was on it, instead of on the external. Render times are about 15% more than on my HP quad core Vista 64 system using the same external drive.
My bigger system is in the basement, and I use the Acer for email and news. And you can unplug it and take it to the can. I finished the bathroom reader the first month LOL.

Cool, John. BTW, for bathroom reading, I've always relied on my Fujitsu Tablet... (no keyboard) and easier to hold... but it is getting old and I do miss a good keyboard when I'm on the road even tho I can plus a USB (albeit USB1.1) or Infrared keyboard.... Here's a pic of the newer versions... http://www.shopfujitsu.com/images/notebooks/st6012_photogal/st6012_fingerscan.jpg

Pictures were mine. Taken on an upright piano. Great piano no future. I've 2 solid cherry endtables a solid cherry coffee table (big) and a solid cherry piano, except of course for the sounding board. All are French Provincial. I've a long time friend sells antiques and used furniture, tells me I'd be lucky to get 50 bucks for the lot. No one wants that style anymore, but it was popular in the late 50's when my mother bought the stuff. Her sister lived with us for 3 years going to university and she gave us the piano, she married a doctor and now they can't spend their money fast enough. Traveling 10 months a year, must be tough.

Sam, do you even READ these threads before jumping in and posting?
They are not my pictures, Sam.
But it looks to me like John enjoys a nice and clean wood cabinet Spinet Piano at his place.

Hi, nice pics John, easy to see you are happy. I include some ones I shot. About the disk, as safe measure I make a "not playable" full image backup with Genie Backup Manager Pro of hd in my Thermaltake external Gliph HD inmediatly I got the pack, 2.5" hard disk are sensitive devices with a lot of micro mechanics and electronic components. Also, although increasingly robust and designed for run coolest, 2.5" hd like 3.5" ones generate heat, plus little enclosures don´t let air flow inside, for clinics and conferences I use a aluminum "cool box" with a 80mm fan cooler, I put Band-in-a-Box hard disk inside it for longer than one hour sessions, it surely help to extend mtbf (Mean time between failures). OH! inportant! also, be sure of not to throw down this equipment from the roof, drown in the tub or burned it with a blowtorch... J/K ... suddenly I remind of some "recomendations" from old japanese manuals for electronic devices... Hope enjoy your new "ultra packed" BIAB cheers

Hey, Mac. I read what I read - those pictures were in YOUR posting. See above
Now I understand. Sorry. Still can't understand what the 'skateboard' is though. What IS it, John?
