I have pretty much everything PG ever published. I have even the Mac version of BIAB 2009.5. I find myself on the windows version most of the time, because it seems to have more features. Anyway, my question is: Are you guys using RealBand instead of BIAB? Somehow, I never got around spending much time on RB. I am not using Real Tracks or Drums - I am using the product more to lay down some chords and practice my guitar playing with the accompaniment ...
The second question I have has to do with the chord analyses of audio. I feel that even the simplest, 3 chord melody comes out wrong and am wondering if I am missing some setup to make it work.

I find that the chord analysis usually is mostly close. a lot of times it will interpret for example a D chord as a D7 or a Bb as a Bb6 or something along those lines.

When the ACW has a problem with even the simple three-chorder, it is likely due to the quality of the audio file. This can be anything from the amplitude of the file being either too high or too low -- which I've found to be very important, the average peaks of the file should be around -6dB for best results -- or the file may have noise in it, things like that.
Heavily compressed audio file seems to confuse the filters more also.
When the ACW first came out, I experimented with the same audio file but at different levels in order to find out about that magic point around the -6dB mark. It can go higher or lower than that, but not too much or for too long.

Chord analysis of audio is a pretty complex thing.
I think the ACW does a pretty good job, never seen one that was perfect.
Often depends on the material, loud mutilayered sound with chorus on it is harder to decipher than simple piano/bass stuff..
I think it also has a lot to do with what is being deciphered as the bass 'root' for the chords
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

Yes, ACW works best on 'pop/country' songs, where the bass player is playing the root.
