Whenever BiaB does something that it is not supposed to do, or does not do something that it is supposed to do:

*First, try a reboot of the computer. For some reason I don't know, when I'm working long editing sessions with BiaB, something sometimes happens that gets those important bit ducks out of line and a reboot often cures the problem.

*If the above fails to bring joy, then open BiaB and use the "Return to Factory Settings" command under the Options menu. There is a critical file that BiaB must write to when it closes down. Crashes and freezes, etc. can corrupt that file. The Return to Factory Settings command rebuilds that file for you.

Once you have BiaB working properly again, revisit the Return to Factory Settings and take a Snapshot of your personal preferences settings so that next time you have to do that it won't return BiaB to the default factory settings, but to the way you like things to be.

HTH, and it generally has a good success rate around here,
