Hi everybody,
I am composing a BIAB song that I want to have a number of bars with just bass and a clap sound like finger snap or clap block. Is there any drum patch or other method to accomplish this?

Others have been telling you how to use MIDI-based methods.
If you have the latest version of Band in a Box, check out the Audio Loop feature, which is tailor made for what ou want to do.
You must either find a recording of what you want in audio and edit out one bar of it "in the clean" or you can Record your own Audio with what you want on there, then set up the song file to play that as a looped audio track alongside the rest of the song.
