Called support, but not there till tomorrow, thought maybe somebody here can help.. My OTHER styles show 142, but when I click on any of them none play & it shows NO MEMO They are all listed but none work. Also when I open any other Style 169 for example it only plays the first bar.. then quits, sometimes repeats several times. Maybe BIAB is too much for this old man.. Running XP, 2012.5 just installed the 2 discs I recieved today.. any way I can UNDO the install. Both my C drive & H hard drive are doing the same thing..
If I load a BIAB song I made the black progress bar doesn't move.
Any & all help appreciated. I did do a factory reset.

While I don't have your answers but I will take this time to offer encouragement. 1st of all the smart money is that there are older men than you who can help you with your issues. But until they get here I would try a restore to factory setting operation and also in the styles window try the rebuild button.
Without knowing how the install was made, what drives for BIAB and also for realtracks and styles etc. it may be as simple as getting BIAB to find where the styles and realtracks were installed. I say this as you stated that both the C and H drives are giving you problems. So hang in there as I am sure help will arrive shortly as there are a good group of pretty smart people here on the forum always willing to help.

Danny thanks for your reply & encouragement.. I doubt there are many older. I'm 78.. Anyway I bought BIAB 2011.5 on a hard drive (USB) & copied it over to 2 hard drives I had & to my C drive.. Reason is My wife & I spend our winters in TX, & summers in Sask. Canada. I have a computer here, & I leave a desktop in TX. So I ha hard drive here for a spare & haul the other to Tx. that way if I need to plug into a lap top somewhere I have my BIAB with me. This also leaves my 2011.5 intact.
Back to story, I copied my 2011.5 then I bought 2012 & installed that, worked fine, now I bought 2012.5 & downloaded it & installed it. Problems, probably not with BIAB, but something I did, but I think I followed all prompts. I installed everything from both discs I recieved to C:/bb & then did the same with H:/bb

I'm afraid I can't help you much either, but after reading this post, I just waned to pay my respects to your, sir. The mere fact you are as familiar with computers as you are is truly outstanding in my book.
I'm sure help is on the way soon, and I wish you he best of luck in getting the problem resolved. I have no doubt that you will be up and running soon. In the mean time, my hat is certainly off to you...

Well thank you so much.. Up till now this has kept my brain active.. But now I'm not so sure...lol.. I like to build tracks with BIAB, then render them as individual wave files & transfer them over to my Korg recorder.. Tried to get familiar with Real Band, but that really screwed my head up. ha..

Whenever Band in a Box is not doing something that it is supposed to do, I try a Return to Factory Settings under the Options menu. Often does the trick.

These 'Other styles' are styles manually added to your BB folder or styles that come with add-ons such as Classical Midi Fakebooks, Folksongs etc.; these styles are not supposed to have memos coming with them. They are usually one-off styles created to accompany some specific classical score, say. They usually play well here, though.

Well this one has me buffaloed... my BIAB on both the C drive & my H (hard drive) didn't work, only played first bar & looped, progress bar wouldn't work, etc. & I just noticed PG put out Patch 357 for something to do with Midi, so I figured I should apply all Patches anyway.. though I don't use Midi much.. YET.. anyway Voila, everything seems to work.. except still no memo with the 'Other' Styles, but they do work when loaded.. So I'm wondering this last Patch, what did it have to do with my BIAB not working ??? I'm not complaining, as a matter of fact I'm real happy, just inquiring minds want to know..
