This is probably a really dumb question, but, i'll ask anyway. With the Ketron SD2 taking up the audio inputs of my sound card, how do I connect a regular electric guitar or microphone to the computer to use along with BIAB? I'm guessing a mixer before the soundcard but does that introcue a latency or any problems with the SD@ performance? Is there a better way to get Audio sources into BIAB when using an SD2???

A mixer can do the job, but be advised that any recording would have the SD2 and your guitar or mic on the same track.
Better way is to purchase and install a multiple channel soundcard, one with enough inputs for the stereo SD2 plus instruments or mics you want to record.

Yes that is a limitation of the good but inexpensive SD2 and a reason why I changed from using it - the Roland SonicCell has dedicated Mic and Guitar inputs as well for much less money than the SD4

The functional equivalent of the SonicCell is not the Ketron SD4.
I'd say the MIDIJAY from Ketron would be the one, it has dedicated Audio inputs and USB connect. It can also function as auto-accompaniment (with separate MIDI controller), wav/,p3 playback and mixer, MIDI player, Vocal Remover, Transposer, Mic effects and /Sound Effects, too.
