First thing I'd do is try a different mp3 file or two in order to find out if it may be a problem with the particular mp3 file.
If you have one that you know for sure worked there, try it again to see if it still does.
If it doesn't, try the Return to Factory Settings under the Options menu in BiaB and see if it doesn't work after that.
I've been opening mp3 files in the ACW with BB2013 since its release without problems.
