Do you mean the full BIAB program? You can't.
If you mean one of the two BIAB iOS apps, they are available in the Apple App Store for an iPad or iPhone. As far as I know, there isn't an Android version yet nor one for Microsoft Surface or Kindle.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Slate VSX, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.

Critter:
As Matt suggested, what kind of "tablet" are you using? I have an ASUS EP121 that has dual USB ports. I just plug in the BIAB external drive and run it from there.
Good Luck! LLOYD

Right. I'm assuming we are talking about a tablet as opposed to a netbook or laptop, both of which can run the full BIAB program.

Is there any tablet whose architecture, I/O and OS supports running BIAB?

Yeah, Microsoft Surface Pro There other brand tablets (and the so-called hybrid tablets) that as long as they run the full windows OS, BIAB will run. However an issue will be the SSD storage size - even the 128 gig would not be able to run all the Real Drums/ Tracks due to space limitations, so an external drive is needed, however another drawback is most (if not all) tablets only have the one USB port (in a lot of cases it is a Micro USB) or in some cases, none at all!! PS: I do believe though that the new Surface Pro 2 will be available in a 512 gig SSD size - but BIG $'s. Around $2k out here in Oz

It still looks impractical, if no longer impossible. Thanks for the info.

Right, a hybrid. That unit is a laptop/tablet hybrid. Good looking unit, probably what we will see a lot more of in the future. But do any "pure" tablets run BIAB?

Okay Matt, I get were you are coming from on it now - In that case, any "pure" tablet with a 1.5 gig processor or higher and probs a minimum of 128gig SSD that will run Windows 8. You could get by with a 64 gig SSD, but you would need to drop some Real Tracks that you maybe don't use. I think the total, as you would know, is about 65 gig of space just for RT/RD. I can get that down to about a 30gig install space as I remove the pianos and most of the brass+ leaving mainly the drums basses and guitars.
I have even seen reports of folks running only the (native Windows) WASAPI audio drivers(MS's answer to ASIO) with no dramas at all and therby eliminating the need for an external audio interface.
But in the end they are ALL tablets and all would require a compromise or two, depending on your requirements.
I am awaiting the release of the Surface Pro 2 and that is the one I am buying to replace my iPad.

Let us know how it works with the Surface Pro 2. Sounds exciting.
My Toshiba's laptop hard drive died, so I put in a 128 SSD. It's wonderful, but I did have to delete many of the RealTracks and strip it down to just some of the styles I use most. The audiophile version takes up about 11 times the space.

I use one of the PGMusic-supplied USB hard drives for storage of everything but the actual bb file with .exe programs and the original MIDI styles for that. C: drive has the base install of bb, plus the fonts, plugins and synths and that's all. USB drive has all of the RealTracks and Realdrums right where PGMusic originally installed them. The slim USB drive, I have it stuck to the back of the laptop screen, using self-adhesive hook and loop fastener strips, so that it does not flop around and cannot be forgotten, it is almost always right there with the laptop and doesn't intrude at all. Both laptop and attached USB drive slide right into my shoulder carry laptop bag. Works a treat. --Mac

Thanks, Mac. I do like to travel light with the laptop for composing, but I remember your really neat trick with the Velcro fasteners! You've shared that here before. Great idea.

Again, my ASUS EP121 is a "pure" tablet. It runs Windows 7 and, similar to Mac's set up, I run the BIAB HDD from the USB port. I found a 128 GB SD card for under a $100 and added that for storing what I need on the tablet, as it has VERY limited built-in storage. Windows pretty much uses up that for the O/S.
It would be nice to have BIAB run on an Android unit. Perhaps ver 2014???? <grin>

Sorry I need to correct you there, Windows 8 OS uses approx 26 gig of SSD space, but this can be reduced to around 18-20, so to say it (Windows) takes up much of the 128gig SSD is not correct. Even at full installation size you have near 100gig of storage. PS: and afaik, BIAB does not run on the Android OS PPS: Why anyone would want to use Android for music (apart from playing back MP3's) is beyond me!! This thread is not the place but Androids failure in this area is WELL documented.

No the 128 GB I referred to is ON THE SD CARD, not on the built in memory. This unit only has 32 GB for built-in memory and, as you pointed out, Windows, plus MSOffice (which I NEED) takes up most of that.
In any case, running BIAB from the external HDD works great, although it's the "regular" version and not the Audiophile version.
The tablet is running Win Home 7 Premium with an Intel i5 CPU @ 1.33 GHz.

Ahh right so your tablet only has 32 gig of SSD space - well that makes sense then, I misunderstood your comment.

Is there any kind of "BIAB Lite" app for iPad? I'm currently bringing my laptop to guitar lessons and banging in quick chord changes for the students to play along with. I'd like to do this on my new iPad Mini and not have to bring my laptop everywhere I go. I have Version 2013 (365) for Windows, but is there a way to run a stripped down version on the Mini? I don't necessarily need Real Band or Real Tracks.
