I have a tune I'm working on that has a midi drum track. I wish to have a Real Drums track instead, but doesn't generate. Using BiaB 14.A little help please...Hank

So you say it won't generate ? are you trying to generate a selected realdrum style
on a new track or do you want to have the same drumming as the midi track ?

yes I want a particular drum style. My midi drum track is on track 2. I want t have a real drum track on a vacant track then delete the midi track...

So have you got the RealDrums folder set to correct location ?
What does it do exactly when you click generate ?
You can try and save the session to an SEQ, close RB then restart it and try again as there is bug that won't let it generate drums sometimes until you save and restart it.

Using BiaB 14.A little help please...Hank If that tune is using a MIDI Style file, you may have to visit Options->Preferences->tab 7Song Generation and make sure that, "Allow RealDrums" is checked. You could also go back to BB, open the songfile there, Generate the Tracks and use one of the Export functions, Drag 'n Drop, or Audio Tracks Separate Export and then place the RealDrums track into RealBand with the song. --Mac

If the Real Drum folder is part the Biab/Real Band program, the answer should be yes as I am using the external hard drive version of 2014.
When I try to load the drum track, I first just right clicked on a lower blank track. the window opened where I could select the style, which selected. It appeared to be loading. Two horizontal lines appeared, the length of the track. The name of the style appeared at the beginning of the track but no drums.

I think that we can only Generate any BB style autoaccompsniment tracks in the BB "area" in tracks view.
We can then MOVE a BB track to one of the lower tracks, freeing up the BB generation area to generate another track if desired.
Attempts to Generate tracks on the tracks that are below the BB tracks won't work.

I am puzzled, to obtain a realtrack, I highlight the part of the blank track I intend to use. Then in the main Tracks Window, I use the right click Menu to "Select & Generate Real Drums". This takes me into the Real Drums Menu from which I can make my selection. Then I press OK for the track to be generated.
If you want to use a specific Real Drum from a specific Style then look at the comments for that style, note the Real Drum number and use that as the selection. Or am I missing something here????

Yeah, I can generate Realdrums on other tracks below the first 8 BB tracks also. Same as LynB describes.
Are you generating on a new blank track that is not blue (indicating a BB track)?
Is the selected region (highlighted or seen in the From-Thru window) inclusive of the desired area?

This sounds like it tried to generate the correct area but didn't, and confuses me the most. Is the Track muted? Does any audio signal show visually on the Tracks View?
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome
